Rhododendron hybrid in E • Rhododendron

Rhododendron • シャクナゲ • 石楠花 • shakunage

The only rhododendron (NOT azalea) in area E – we do not know its name, except that it is a hybrid; although we might learn its name soon, because last monday Walt Bubelis, Edmonds Horticulture Department head and instructor, came to meet the SJG Plant Committee to help us to take a look at our Rhododendron hybrids to see if we can  identify any of them. Stay tuned….

The day I wrote this post (5/1/13) the flowers are almost faded and spent  (glad to have taken the pic when it was in full bloom).
