Camellia japonica “Cheerful’

Camellia Camellia ツバキ 椿 tsubaki

It is sitting in a clump of camellias close to the entrance gate, behind the lace leaf maple and closer to the fence. has bright double red flowers, this year in April.  For some reason cannot find any information on this plant, in camellia societies, camellia japonica indexes or plain google search – it’s either quite rare, or has another common name besides ‘cheerful’.
